BLUE BEACH / PLAYA CHIVA IN VIEQUES PUERTO RICO

Blue Beach (also known as Playa Chiva) is a long beach, that has crystal turquiose water and white sands. It truly is a beautiful scene :) There is snorkeling available on the East side of the beach or you can just rest and relax under a palm tree. The best snorkeling spots are areas 7 to 15 (the beach entry points have numbered signs – which will make more sense when you get here). Spot 10 is supposed to be the best for snorkeling. There are no bathrooms or restaurants at this beach.
Snorkeling can be found around this beach at many areas. Look for the darker spots in the water as those are usually reefs or sea grass. Some travelers will venture away from Blue beach and head out to the small island to look around. Be careful for the currents and boat traffic. Helpful Links
