ESPERANZA BEACH IN VIEQUES PUERTO RICO

Esperanza Beach is located on the Southwest part of Vieques in the area known as Esperanza. There is a waterfront promenade called El Malecón, colorful boats used by local fisherman and numerous restaurants near the beach. There are numerous areas to snorkel and there is a good chance to see turtles. If you didn't bring any gear, no problem, there are businesses who will rent aquatic equipment to you for the day. There is also a small island known as Cayo Afuera which you will notice from the shore as you look out from land to the water. You can take a boat, kayak, or, if you are a good swimmer, swim your way to the island!
