BEST PUERTO RICO VACATION SPOTS
If you're trying to choose where to go in Puerto Rico on your vacation, we recommend you do some planning before you go on your trip. Here are some of the top places to see in Puerto Rico:
#1 FAJARDO
Fajardo Puerto Rico is THE best place to vacation in Puerto Rico. I'm sure it could be debated, but if you want to experience the best things that Puerto Rico has to offer without having to spend a bunch of time in the car driving around then you should definitely stay in Fajardo.
Bio Bay - Fajardo Puerto Rico is home to one of the most amazing natural phenomenons in the world: bioluminescence. The water literally glows due to a small micro organism that emits light when disturbed. This tour is offered via kayak.
Fajardo Beaches - Fajardo has some amazing beaches. Seven seas beach, Playa Escondida, Playa Colora are amazing...just to name a few! Some of these beaches are tougher to get to which makes them even better. Bring a cooler or even a grill and make a day of it.
Icacos Island and Palomino Island - Just a short water taxi ride away from mainland Puerto Rico are two amazing little islands where you can spend the day and relax. Unlike mainland Puerto Rico, the sand on these beaches are a much lighter color. The water is super blue too.
If you stay in Fajardo, you'll also be near El Yunque, access to the ferry boats that go to Vieques and Culebra, and many great restaurants.

#2 SAN JUAN
San Juan is the capital of Puerto Rico and it has all the luxuries and conveniences that you could want. Casinos, beaches, great restaurants, and much more.
El Morro Castle - Spain's construction of this fort began in 1539 and most of the original structure still remains today. You can almost imagine how people lived in the castle so long ago. Old San Juan - Old San Juan is full of historic sites and authentic Puerto Rican feeling. There are museums, restaurants, and plenty of places to shop if you're into that. |
#4 RINCON
Rincon is located on the west coast of Puerto Rico and has a very different vibe than the rest of the island. Very relaxing with a great surfer culture woven into the local Puerto Rican setting.
There is usually a surf competition in March but the big waves begin in October. There are many beautiful beaches in Rincon to enjoy! |
